The Department of Smart Architecture Engineering builds an educational operation system that systematically acquires Architectural Engineering, Construction Management & Safety Engineering, and BIM (Building Information Modeling) based on Smart Technology, and strengthens creative problem-solving skills to cultivate practical architectural engineers and public officials.
Although newly established in 2023, it is a prestigious department with a 26-year tradition that continuously inherited architectural engineering education, starting with the Department of Architectural Engineering in 1997 and moving through the Department of Architectural Fire Safety in 2022. Graduates are working as engineering doctors, architectural structural engineers, construction company executives, and public officials.
It is a comprehensive department equipped with a total education system leading to the graduate school's Architectural Fire Safety Engineering (Master's) and Construction Engineering (Ph.D.).
The Department of Smart Architecture Engineering is a cutting-edge department that reflects the curriculum of 4th Industrial Revolution technologies such as drones, BIM, and theory in the construction process of architectural design, construction, maintenance, and safety. The curriculum is operated by reflecting smart architecture into traditional architectural engineering education.
Focused on solving practical problems: We sign department business agreements with construction companies, architectural structure offices, and BIM design offices, and foster professional engineers equipped with theoretical and practical skills through special lectures and field training.
Based on relevant laws such as the Building Act, Construction Industry Framework Act, and Serious Accidents Punishment Act: We foster architectural engineers and construction safety engineers who are responsible for the safety of the building's lifecycle from construction to maintenance and demolition.
